The Armor Latch fits on gate posts from 1.5 inches to 5 inches and requires a gate gap between 1/2 inch and 1-1/2 inches. It will only work with square gate frames. The actual dimensions of the Armor latch are 8-3/4 inches wide, 4-1/2 inches tall and 3-1/4 inches deep.
