The Spear & Jackson Wood Splitter is designed to split wood when used in conjunction with a club/lump hammer, or sledge hammer. Made from forged carbon steel, diamond shaped, with four angled contoured faces to maximise a four way grain splitting action. In addition, the notches on the four faces help to prevent the splitter from 'popping out' when struck.
